Greg, Jennifer, and Isaac

Letter of Introduction:

Hello!
Thank you for sharing some of your time with us! We are Greg, Jennifer, and Isaac, and we would like to give you a glimpse into our personalities, our home, our family, and some of the fun we have together.

Greg and I have been friends since the 8th grade. We started dating at the time of our Senior Prom and went to separate colleges but continued to date until we had both graduated. We were married in December, 2001. We share the same values, a similar sense of humor, and a very strong friendship and spirit of teamwork in our marriage.

We always planned to have children and started trying a few years after we got married. After encountering infertility and trying to treat the medical reasons behind it, we began the adoption process and welcomed Isaac into our family through open adoption in September, 2012. He is a true blessing and gives us many reasons to smile each day!

We live and work in the Kansas City area. Greg is the manager at a small doctor's office, and I have an Industrial Engineering degree and am a project manager at a major corporation in the area. Isaac attends a Christian-based daycare where he has thrived. I intend to continue working outside the home after another adoption; however, this decision has been and will continue to be something we evaluate and pray about.

We are both actively involved with a Catholic church near our home, where I read as a lector and Greg is the leader of the volunteers who distribute Communion. We are fortunate to have much of our immediate family living within about an hour of our home, and many of our fun activities are shared with family. Jennifer has young nieces and nephews, and one of Greg's adult nieces has younger children.

Faith, family, and education are three things we consider very important to share with Isaac and our next child or children. We have much love to give and pray that God will bring the right little one into our lives.

We have talked to Isaac about adoption from the very beginning and will do the same with our next child. As they grow, we plan to share age-appropriate details to help them each understand their story. If you are comfortable doing so, we would welcome whatever input you are comfortable sharing to help us tell the adoption story. If you are interested in an open adoption (or some level of openness), we would be happy to sit down with you and try to work out those details. We would also be willing to discuss any other questions you may have.

May God bless you as you continue on this journey. Thank you for choosing life for your baby and for considering our family as a potential match for your child. May God be with you and guide you to the decision that is best for you and your baby.

Sincerely,
Greg, Jennifer, and Isaac

He has 5 nieces, 3 nephews, and 3 great-nephews! * Education: Bachelor's in Biology, Master's in Public Administration * Job: Medical Practice Manager ~ ~ ~ IN JENNIFER'S WORDS: I know I am blessed to be married to Greg. He has a strong faith, a love of children, and a good sense of humor. He is a hard worker and disciplined when he needs to be, and I couldn't ask for a better partner in parenting and household responsibilities. Greg is a great dad! He spent countless hours rocking Isaac to sleep when he was younger, and he is the one who works with Isaac to eat his bitter reflux medicine (mixed with chocolate topping to help the flavor) almost every night. Isaac loves to play with Daddy! They play with Isaac's toy train and track together in the basement and enjoy playing catch and mini-basketball. It will be wonderful to see new shared moments between Greg and our next child!

About Jennifer:

GETTING TO KNOW JENNIFER: * Born in 1979 * Raised in Kansas * Height: 5'2" * Hair: Brown * Eyes: Brown * Ancestry: German, Irish, Scottish, Swedish * Family: She has 1 younger sister, 1 younger brother, 1 niece (born in 2011), and 2 nephews (born in 2012 and 2015) * Education: Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering * Job: Project Manager ~ ~ ~ IN GREG'S WORDS: I have known Jennifer for almost 25 years, and the quality I admire the most in her is that she is always committed to putting forth her best effort in all that she does. Whether it is in her faith, her education, her work, or her relationships with family and friends, her sincere dedication has always served her very well and led her to great success. It has also made her an outstanding mom. She contributes so much of herself and her talents to our family. I marvel at her organization and ability to keep us all focused. She is very creative in coming up with tasks for Isaac that he enjoys and that challenge him to think and learn. I love to watch her in this role and to see Isaac light up and respond so positively to her. I have no doubt that she will continue to be the positive guiding influence of our family as it grows.

Family Activities:

Greg enjoys sports (especially watching the Chiefs, the Royals, and the University of Kansas); playing golf; playing games (video, computer, card, and board games); history; and spending time with family. Jennifer enjoys reading while at the gym, taking Isaac on walks to the park, watching TV, watching sports (especially Kansas State University football and basketball and Royals baseball), Facebook, playing phone games, and spending time with family. Jennifer also loves music and sang in the choir at church for many years before Isaac was born. Isaac enjoys playing with his cousins, being outside, playing baseball, music, trains, cars, and superheroes. He LOVES pizza and veggie straws (with ketchup)! We also enjoy traveling. Greg and Jennifer traveled more (and farther away) before starting a family, but Isaac visited 10 states in his first 3 years, including a big trip to Disney World in July, 2015!
